They are also relatively affordable compared to other adventure tours in India like paragliding or rafting! 

Chadar Trek, Ladakh 

Chadar Trek is a 60 km trek across the frozen Zanskar River. This is one of the best treks in India and can be made into a simple day trek or a longer trek. 

Chadar Trek offers breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains and scenic panoramas as you walk through lush valleys and lakes carved out by glaciers thousands of years ago. You will also see beautiful wildlife including wild horses and goats. 

Markha Valley Trek, Ladakh 

Markha Valley Trek is a challenging trek that takes you through the remote Markha Valley. This is a high-altitude trek with some of the highest passes in Ladakh, including an epic 5,000-meter (16,00 ft) elevation gain. This makes it one of the most demanding treks in India and is therefore not recommended for beginners or the inexperienced. 

The trek starts from Leh and follows an ancient trade route through lakes and rivers toPangg La Pass, which is 5100 meters above sea level. Here you can view the snow-capped mountains through gaps in their towering peaks as you descend into another valley before climbing back to the Nubra Valley Monastery, with several monasteries along the way. 

Shivlinga Peak Trek, Uttarakhand 

Shivlinga Peak Trek is one of the best treks in Uttarakhand and is also one of the most popular treks in India. The trek starts from Rishikesh and ends at Joshimath and covers about 500 km (300 miles). It is described as “an intense adventure that will leave you breathless and beaming with pride at conquering this beautiful country.” 

The route passes through some of the country’s most stunning landscapes: forests, meadows, rivers, and lakes… and may or may not have snowy peaks along the way! The journey takes  20-22 days, depending on how fast you walk with other travelers traveling at the same speed as you. 

Roopkund Trek, Uttarakhand 

Roopkund Trek is one of the most popular treks in Uttarakhand. The trek takes place at an altitude of 15,000 feet and passes through dense forests, crossing rivers and lakes on the way. 

The trek is difficult as it involves climbing steep slopes, crossing high mountain passes, and walking on snowy paths through forests with dense vegetation at some point along the way. It also includes camping for one or two nights at each campsite along the route! 

Kuari Pass Trek in Winter, Uttarakhand 

 Kuari Pass Trek is a challenging trek that starts from Kedarnath and ends at Kuari Pass. The route passes through some of the most beautiful parts of Uttarakhand, including the Nanda Devi National Park and the Gangotri Glacier. This walk can also be done in winter, but it is not for beginners or inexperienced feet! 

 Shakti Parikrama This is one of the most popular treks in India. It is one of the most popular treks in India as it offers spectacular views of snow-capped mountains and glaciers. It is also known as a holy pilgrimage to visit the Kedarnath Temple, a famous temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This trek takes you through beautiful mountain passes and crosses the  Gangotri river, which originates in the Himalayas. The trip can be completed in three or two days depending on your choice. 

Kedarnath Yatra 

The Kedarnath Yatra, also known as Kedar Parikrama or Kedar Kotha,  is an annual Hindu pilgrimage to the Shri Kedarnath Temple, located at an altitude of 6,500 meters above sea level in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. This temple was built by the sage Bhrigu after he came to know that Lord Shiva was defeated by demons and was lying unconscious on his side at that place. The Kedarnath Yatra lasts four days and three nights and the average ascent during that period is 3000 meters per day.
