Blogs are an easy way to create a space for your OLC members to post and share ideas, tips, and more. You can also use this space to post other information about your course, links about you or your background, materials that would be helpful for your OLC members, and more. There are various blogging sites available just like the wiki sites mentioned above. Also, like the wiki sites, you can create an account on those websites to allow you to manage blogs without charge. Some examples of blogging websites include WordPress and Blogger.
YouTube is one of the most popular video-sharing websites available. You or your OLC members can post videos about a specific topic or simply about what you are learning in your course. You will want to find out if YouTube resources are allowed in your course and if they are, this can be another great way to share information and collaborate with peers.
Podcasts are audio files that you can upload to various sites such as iTunes or websites where they can be downloaded to others computers and more. Podcasts allow people to listen to content on their own time and do not require them to read through text while they learn. This is especially useful for individuals who learn better by listening than by reading.
