It takes an hour to climb up from Tikona Peth village.The fort is on top of a mountain and its shape is triangular as its name suggests. These caves date back to 60 BC and belong to the Satavahana period, due to which they have become the oldest caves in Maharashtra. The best carvings are seen here and there are also 25 feet high pillars. The main cave here is the Chaitya cave with a prayer hall. There is another cave called Vihara or Math. Morning visit here is wonderful as one can witness the spectacular sunrise here.

Swimming in the lake is also allowed here but only under the supervision and guidance of professional instructors. There are many camps here that provide kayaking facilities to the people.
